EICMA 2007 - Dorsoduro - FV2 1200 - 32000 miles

An interesting news email today from Aprilia.
Click on the image above for the full article.
In it there is something about the Dorsudoro supermotart.
Looks very nice, altough I think it would be even better if it came out before the Ducati one.

Some other interesting news in the newsletter are about a concept bike called FV2 1200.
It's interesting because it can only mean one thing.
That they should be doing a new 1200 Caponord version, hopefully soon.!!
Some of the things that would be nice if they could make their way to the Caponord are:

  • Less than 160Kg weight
  • Ride-by-wire control system(?)
  • Traction control
  • Electronic suspension management
  • Multi functional instrument cluster that can interface with PC, GPS, GSM for integration with internet mapping, mobile phones...
  • Hope it happens soon.

Finally my Caponord has just passed the 32000 mile mark, which is just over 50000km!!
    And it still feels fine!
Just noticed the last time I've cleaned it that the two nuts holding the tank on the frame came loose.
Soon the time for Capo hibernation will come, as I'm trying to get my Pegaso on the road for the winter.
