Built around the stonking Rotax 60 V-twin that powered the first Mille sportsbikes, the Caponord was Aprilia's brief foray into the adventure market. It's a good - if softly suspended - alternative to the ubiquitous BMW GS. It's quick, comfortable and has a reasonably tourable tank range. The only question mark is over the electrics, which can fall prey to gremlins. Look for evidence of regular servicing and washing - the finish is tough but will suffer if not cared for. Find a good one, load luggage, then set off for adventure.
